Anybody making homemade gifts for Christmas?
If so, what are you doing? I'm thinking of making gift baskets full of things for my family and friends, chocolate, candy, cookies, muffins.
We have been doing this every year for 10 years for families who have too things and so little that we have become experts who likes what in our gifts circle. First, to save money we skip the baskets and save up boxes board of a few in the sizes needed and decorate it with white or brown paper and then hot glue on holiday decorations such as pine cones, branches and roots pine and small ornaments and stuff. They always look nice and are well received. For good, we like to make bread and biscuits standard, but have been found in recent years that the food mixes in a jar are really popular. You can find mixes for brownies, cookies, soups and even meals by searching the web. Our family and friends only hope that every year. Jams and jellies and some foods have a shelf life are very popular because people already have plenty food to eat during the holidays, and foods that can be saved for later are appreciated. Then customize each basket to buy a small thing or two that we know that the person really likes and are not discussed often. special teas or candy bars, or for example I always throw in a unique hot sauce and pepperoni for my father, and stationery for my niece who is in college. Just think outside the box and customize the baskets for each individual or family and I'm sure you get some special baskets to present this year. Good luck.
