Chocolate truffle recipe with milk instead of cream?
I'm thinking of making truffles. Does anyone know of an easy recipe. In addition, I can use chocolate chips? And does anyone know of a recipe that uses * MILK * instead of cream?
In this way it is sooo much easier and they are delicious! Truffle Cake Ingredients: 1 box devils food cake mix 1 container ready to use frosting (16 oz.), Any flavor (I used some cream cheese icing) but chocolate would be good too! Chocolate for coating truffles, any kind (I used a little over 1 pound of Ghiradelli white chocolate) can make a variety of milk chocolate and use as well .... Directions: 1. Bake cake as directed on the box. Allow to cool completely. 2. Crumble cake finely hands. 3. Add the meringue at room temperature until they are well distributed throughout the crumb cake. 4. Cake Form small balls, about 1 " diameter (I made mine similar to the size of Lindt truffle balls.) Place balls on a baking sheet and refrigerate for several hours in the freezer (I have mine night). 5. Melt the chocolate in the microwave a couple of ounces at a time, and one by one, dip the frozen balls into chocolate cake to cover. Located in wax paper to allow establish. 6. Store in an airtight container. The big ones are at room temperature or chilled - try both! I love it! I also had the strawberry (cake) w / cream cheese frosting dipped in milk chocolate ... so good! Any flavor cake / ice flavor combo work!
