1 / 2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 / 4 cup butter, softened
1 / 4 cup shortening
1 1 / 2 cups flour (or 3 / 4 cup of general purpose and 3 / 4 cup whole wheat flour)
3 / 4 teaspoon baking soda
1 / 4 teaspoon salt
Cocoa Glass: Next Recipe
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl. Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, peanut butter and butter until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Remove dough from refrigerator and form by teaspoonfuls 2 1/2-inch fingers ungreased cookie sheets. Bake until browned, about 8 minutes. Cool on a rack. Do cocoa glaze and dip one end of each cookie in chocolate icing.
COCOA GLAZE:
1 1 / 2 cups powdered sugar
1 / 4 cups baking cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix powdered sugar and cocoa in medium bowl. Stir in the milk and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add more milk, 1 / 2 teaspoon at a time, until the consistency of the dive, if necessary.
