Chocolate cake being my Valentine

This is the cake recipe from my mother every Valentine's Day. She cake in 2 pans. A round, and a square. Next, turn the square cake to form a diamond, cut the round cake in half and each half attached to each side of the diamond tip with vanilla cream. Then decorate with candy and red icing to write with "Be My Valentine". This is how the name came. Try this recipe a wonderful dessert on Valentine's Day.

Be my Valentine's chocolate cake

1 / 2 cup butter

4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate

2 eggs

1 3 / 4 cups buttermilk

2 teaspoons vanilla

2 1 / 2 cups self-rising flour sifted

2 cups sugar

Following dark chocolate frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease and flour a square pan, round pan, (the heart) or two 8 inch round pans for a layer cake. Combine butter and chocolate in small saucepan. Melato simmer, remove pot from heat to cool mixture. Beat eggs in a bowl with an electric mixer, beat until well blended. Add chocolate mixture. Pour prepard mixture into molds. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, remove cake from pan and let Cool completely on wire racks. Frost with chocolate icing. Makes 12-15 servings.

Dark Chocolate Glaze

1 / 2 cup butter

4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate

Confectioners'sugar 4 cups (about 1 lb.)

1 / 2 cup evaporated milk

1 / 4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

Combine butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan. Melt simmer, remove from heat. Gradually mix in sugar, milk, salt and banilla. Beat until smooth.
